The Hungarian Teen Club in Oradea aims to provide an interesting, useful and fun opportunity to meet for teenagers aged 12–15. During our programs, we welcome participants with exciting group games, quizzes and various activities, while we discuss issues and challenges that affect them. In addition, we explore the message of the Bible together and what it says about important areas of life.

Our topics include: friendships and relationships, financial responsibility, addictions and free time, relationships with parents, managing emotions, school, learning and career, decision-making and other teenage challenges.

Every Friday from 6 pm we welcome teenagers to a friendly and inclusive community. Our club is open to all interested parties, regardless of denominational affiliation. The programs are held in the circular building located in the courtyard of our church. You can connect with us here:

In Zalău the teen club takes place every Friday from 6 pm in the basement of the Hungarian Baptist House of Prayer. A group of volunteer youthworkers carry this ministry. The day and time vary when we organize separate boys’ and girls’ events or when we visit the sick and go on trips.

We took the teens to teen conferences, we organized outings, game afternoons etc. During the year we do special practical and fun activities like teaching the girls to bake, taking the boys to woodworking workshops and to car mechanic garages to learn to change the tires etc. We like to have special guest speakers like pastors and theologians when we need deeper teaching.

About 70 teens participate at their summer camps, which is a great privilege and responsibility at the same time. We try to involve new people in the ministry, and gladly welcome everyone who is interested!

Myung Soo, the founder of YFC Romania, is involved in youth work at the Quo Vadis Church in Hațeg.

In Târgu Mureș there is currently a children’s club called The Good News, a Rock Solid group, a group for teenagers, a club for youth and a club for students. In addition we work with five groups of disciples within the youth group, we organize evenings of prayer and worship three times a month on Saturdays, we hold regular prayer times and once a month a city-wide evangelistic event called “Ébresztő”, all in Hungarian.

With the start of summer vacation, most of our ministry takes place in the camps. We organize four camps annually. Children and youth from the age of 6 to student age can participate in a camp suitable for their age group. The children look forward to the camps every year and places fill up very quickly. We truly experience many blessings in these camps.

Our goal is to reach as many young people as possible in this city and introduce them to the Gospel. We want to raise disciples who will spread the work of God in their environment. That’s why we started to create a youth center (currently rented), where – in addition to the usual occasions – young people can pop in for a tea, coffee, a conversation, and where they can get help with their various problems and answers to their questions.

In Augustin and Ormeniș YFC is involved with youth meetings, children’s programs, life groups, social assistance, guitar lessons, evangelism, prayer group, training with young people, theoretical and practical discipleship, sports. During the summer we organize camps and evangelism programs with mission teams from abroad. During the holidays we go skiing, to the cinema and spend a day in Brașov together with the young people. For children we do special programs with games, songs, cinema with a projector, a theatre play with the birth of the Savior and we give them all a gift.

The purpose of our programs and meetings is to make disciples (Matthew 28:19; 2 Timothy 2:2), to win children and youth for Christ whom we equip, encourage, and send as they grow physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially in God.

We are a team of 2 families (Viorel, Mădălina, Evelina & Ivan, Adina) and we are so privileged to be able to bring the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ to kids in Moreni. Throughout the year we meet with kids and occasionally with their parents. We do regular meetings on each Saturday morning when we meet with the kids (6-11 years old) at the Ascendent center, with an attendance of 15 to 20 kids. We read and explain the Bible with them and as well through games and crafts we want to help them to know and trust in Jesus as their Saviour. On Friday evenings we usually meet with the parents of the kids and every other Friday we meet with the parents and kids.

Throughout the year we do seasonal events as: Mother’s day, Children’s day, FundRaising Market, Summer Camp, Weekend away twice a year (kids & parents) and Christmas Party. We’ve been so encouraged to have the parent’s support in what we do with the kids and we are very thankful for our partnership. We love doing this ministry, because we are convinced that when God’s Word is faithfully taught, God’s voice is heard and lives are transformed. We depend on God in all we do and our prayer is that in everything we do to keep our focus on what the Lord entrusted us as Christ’s ambassadors, appealing to others to reconcile to Jesus.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:18-20

YFC Brătășanca supports two weekly clubs in the locality: a Children’s Club and a Rock Solid Club. These meetings are aimed at children and young people who come from Orthodox families. They also help in developing such a group in the locality of Stejaru.

In addition to fun games and activities, the local youth workers share the Gospel in a language that is as accessible and relevant to their young age. Once a month they organize outings with the group of teenagers.

During the holidays they prepare small events for children and also for adults in the locality, and during the summer they organize different camps with the help of missionary teams from abroad and/or with the help of volunteers from their local community.

In addition to these, they offer musical instrument classes in order to create bridges that they can use to make God known.

Within the church, they teach and encourage the young people to place their talents and abilities in the service of the Lord. They also lead the praise and worship group of the church.

The work in Slatina consists of weekly youth meetings, weekly Awana clubs, summer camps and VBS, one-day youth trips, special youth and local church events, being part of the praise team, after-school and English program, street Evangelism, visiting sister churches, preaching and personal mentorship for boys and girls.

The long-range goals are to continue building a thriving ministry team, expanding the youth programs, and developing long-term relationships in the city that will lead to continued evangelism and discipleship opportunities.
